Here is a link to an article on CBS News that interviews Dr. Chip Lavie, who explains how exercising at least 30 minutes a day for most of the week can be most beneficial for protection against Heart Attacks. Not only that but more improvements for Heart protection were seen in those who performed intense interval training. They also found that having higher fitness levels better helps with the prognosis for those who have a Heart Attack.
